As it appears to me, though, you're foregoing three rounds of damage by the Jester in the hopes that the damage other characters get (including crits) will make up for it, and in the hopes that Finale doesn't miss with the crow's outrageous dodge. Maybe someone who knows more of the math of the game can say whether it's better to do two Battle Ballads and rely on the other characters. Note that all Jester's skills currently buff his Finale, so you might also consider actually just doing damage with him for two rounds. OCC also has a bonus against Eldritch, and pretty good CRIT on Sacrificial Stab, so buff him and put him in third place if you bring him. Similarly, the Eldritch/Beast Slayer rings are good trinkets. or the +ACC to either Melee/Ranged depending on what you plan on showering the enemy with.Įldritch Slayer/Beast Slayer (or both) are great quirks to have on a hero for this. Sun Rings, Focus Rings (although they're nerfed), Ancestor's Pen, Prophet's Eye, etc. Any trinkets with two or more of those is a must have. So he either hits with FInale or you're hosed.Īnyway I'd load up on ACC, DMG and CRIT. If you DO decide to debuff, though, you want the debuffer to be fast and to act first.Īlso you're putting all your eggs in one basket with Jester because you only have 4 turns. You're better off just trying to hit it for damage. First, you have to hit it, then you have to succeed against its debuff resistance, and even if you do that successfully, its three actions a turn mean that lasts only one round. It's also pretty much useless to debuff its dodge. You seriously need to jack up ACC because Shrieker's dodge is ridiculous. Jester uses Battle Ballad - Battle Ballad - Solo - Finale, MAA uses Command and Defender if needs to, Arbalest and Abomination just deal damage.Īny other suggestions or any thoughts on that combination? The combination that I have on my mind is Arbalest - Jester - MAA - Abomination. My first attempt with marking party went successful but somewhat unconvincing, since the bird easily takes off the mark with 3 action turns. Doctor:I know that I don’t actually have to kill it, but since I have enough gold already and hates to see my heroes getting stress, I decided to kill it. What I ALSO got were negative quirks and/or diseases for everyone, no positive quirks.Originally posted by Dr. HOWEVER, the real reason I'm posting here is to reiterate the only 'rewards' you'll get for killing the Shrieker are the 8 stolen trinkets. All in all I was able to kill him in 2 rounds and barely took any stress. The MAA used Command to buff up team ACC and CRT. With dog treats, the HM also had huge hits. Maybe i got lucky but my Occ went first and hit successfully with Vulnerability Hex (Mark, -20 Dodge), and my BH hit next and crit for 56 DMG. Maybe or maybe not worth noting but 3 of my characters were lvl 5, one was lvl 4. I buffed up my characters with as many +ACC and +DMG trinkets as I had. I should mentino that I took advantage of a town event that gave +33% XP and +15% damage in the Weald.
